Gae­tano Parmegiani was a com­pos­er and con­duc­tor asso­ci­at­ed with the civic band at Mon­to­rio al Vomano, Italy, in 1852. We know he also served as the con­duc­tor of the 27th Infantry Reg­i­ment Band in 1911, for a sur­viv­ing menu of the Noon Con­cert at the famous Palaz­zo Pit­ti in Flo­rance exists for May 8 of that year and indi­cates his infantry band per­formed dur­ing lunch under his baton.
This Sin­fo­nia car­ries the inscrip­tion, “Bologna, 1896.”
