Bel­loli was prin­ci­pal horn at La Scala in Milan and pro­fes­sor of horn at the Con­ser­va­to­rio. A large num­ber of his etudes for all the brass instru­ments are still in the reper­toire. There are also extant an unpub­lished aria from La Son­nam­bu­la arranged for band and arias from Ober­to arranged for band, both scores in the Nation­al Library, Vien­na. Sev­er­al cham­ber works for winds exist in man­u­script in addi­tion to a dou­ble con­cer­to, for horn and bas­soon, with band accom­pa­ni­ment, found in the Bib­liote­ca Musi­cale Greg­giati, Oes­tiglia, Italy.
